MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 43 Georgia College women's tennis team (11-9, 4-5 PBC) swept the No. 33 Augusta State University Jaguars (14-5, 7-5 PBC), finishing with the 5-0 victory on Senior Day at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.
With one senior on each court, the Bobcats swept doubles play to pull out to a 3-0 lead. Senior Kayla Barksdale (Augusta, Ga.) and freshman Katie Krupp (Evans, Ga.) made quick work of Victoria Lindqvist and Liv Pettersson, 8-2.
The Bobcats would finish the match off quickly, with seniors Johnson and Barksdale coming away with singles wins. Johnson cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win against Pettersson and Barksdale had a little bit of work in the first set but defeated Pimentel 7-5, 6-1.
The Bobcats will head to the road for a match against USC Aiken (9-7, 4-6 PBC) Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m.
