MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The seventh installation of "The Prowl" will hit the airwaves Thursday, April 25 from 5-to-6 p.m. on ESPN 1450AM. This month will feature the Georgia College men's and women's tennis teams, broadcast live from Zaxby's on North Columbia Street as part of the monthly "Meet the Bobcats Night".
The night will feature interviews with GC tennis head coach Steve Barsby, key players and much more.
Director of Athletics Wendell Staton and GC Athletics Hall of Fame Broadcaster Scott MacLeod will be on hand to talk all things Bobcat sports.
Members of the tennis team will be available from 5-to-7 p.m. to sign schedule posters and meet young Bobcat fans. Ten percent of sales during the event will be donated to the tennis program.
The women's tennis team finished their run at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Sunday afternoon. The GC women's tennis team finished fourth in the tournament, and stand No. 7 in the region and No. 42 in the nation. The men's tennis team also finished fourth in the tournament, and stand No. 5 in the region and No. 17 in the nation.
The Bobcats now await seeding for the NCAA Tournament, set to begin Saturday, April 27. Georgia College will be vying for an at-large bid to make NCAA postseason play, the women for the 19th straight season and the men for the seventh straight season.
