SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) 2013-14 Women's Division II Preseason Rankings were released Nov. 11 and the Georgia College women were ranked No. 34 in the nation. The Bobcats improved four spots from where they finished a year ago.

The fall season was highlighted by a pair of singles titles from sisters Macy and Cristalei Polk (Powder Springs, Ga.) at the GC Women's Fall Championships.

The Bobcats are slotted fifth in the Southeast Region Poll, with Macy Polk owning the No. 10 ranking in singles, and Ivana Marevic (Rottweil, Germany) positioned No. 19.

The Bobcats will return three players from the 2013 spring season. Sophomore Katie Krupp (Evans, Ga.) went 16-8 in singles play a year ago and posted an 18-10 doubles mark. She received All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) honors as well as being a PBC Bronze Scholar. Marevic played all 22 matches in the first slot last season, finishing with a record of 8-14. Her doubles record of 17-5 was the best on the team. She was also a PBC Silver Scholar. Sophomore Sarah Murray (Alpharetta, Ga.) also returns to bolster the ranks, Murray picked up three singles wins and eight doubles victories a year ago.

The spring season will begin in February for the Bobcats, with the schedule still to be announced.
