MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 39 Georgia College Women's Tennis (8-5) made short work of the University of Alabama-Huntsville (6-7) 5-0 Tuesday in non-conference action at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.

The Bobcats started with wins in third doubles and sixth singles, as the Chargers only had five competitors.

The match's third point came in first doubles, where Jena Kelly (Lawrenceville) and Valeria Lopez (Galicia, Spain) improved to 9-3 on the year after taking out Sarah Stearman and Stefanie Mehlich, 8-1.

Kristen Jones (Marietta) and Emilia Richter (Berlin, Germany) evened their record out at 3-3 by beating Cristina Cabanas and Mariana Lopez 8-3 in the second slot.

The Bobcats needed one singles victory to clinch the match, and got it in the second line, where Lopez shut down Cabanas 6-3, 6-0. Lopez is now 7-5 this season in singles action.

The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, March 28 at 1 p.m., playing host to No. 32 Flagler College.
