MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College volleyball program and head coach Gretchen Krumdieck had a busy early signing period, adding Lindsay Holmes among others for the upcoming inaugural season.
“My main focus was to bring in ball control and Lindsay is a good piece to the puzzle,” Krumdieck said. “She will bring a lot of consistency to the back row. Lindsay also has a good volleyball IQ and anticipates the flow of the game very well.”
A member of the Norcross High squad, she played for Jeff Cenerka. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year picked up Scholar-Athlete Award honors at Norcross.
Holmes plans to major in athletic training. She will play club ball for GA5.
Georgia College added volleyball as its 11 varsity sport last fall, set to begin play in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in fall 2013.
