AUGUSTA, Ga. – Georgia College Volleyball (21-5) continued to dominate as of late, making short work of Paine College (5-21) on the road Saturday to extend the Bobcat win streak to seven in a row.
The Bobcats hit at a blistering pace, not posting an attack percentage below .300 in each of the three sets. GC Volleyball controlled play with 25-9, 25-12 and 25-10 sets. The Bobcats had a nice 13-2 run in the first frame to set the tone for the match.
The attack was spread evenly for Georgia College, as nine different players recorded kills, led by eight for junior Taylor Svehla (Cumming). Freshman Emily Pope (Canton) added seven and Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) and Emma Boughner (Bogart) posted six each.
Brockway finished with 30 assists, running the offense that finished with a .370 hitting percentage overall. Digs were hard to come by in the brief matchup, as sophomore Nicole Cohen (Atlanta) led with eight.
This match brought a close to the non-conference regular season for Georgia College, posting a 13-2 record.
The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, Nov. 12 at 4 p.m., hosting Flagler College for the regular-season finale and Senior Day.
