LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) added another honor to the trophy case Wednesday, as Georgia College's setter was named All-Southeast Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Setter of the Year, Brockway is the first AVCA All-Region honoree in program history after classmate Taylor Svehla (Cumming, Georgia) earned a spot on the D2CCA All-Southeast Region team earlier this week.
Brockway ranks first in the PBC in assists at 1,148 on the season, and second in assists per set at 10.44. The junior has helped in other areas, ranking seventh in the league with 33 aces and 10th in digs per set with 3.21. Brockway's honor will now place her on the ballot for All-America status.
The Bobcats are in action today at the NCAA Southeast Regional in St. Augustine, Florida, taking on Wingate University.
