by Kyle Collins, sports information student assistant

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University cross-country teams remained inside the top-10 of the latest U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division II Southeast Regional Rankings released Oct. 14.

The men maintained their previous spot sitting at No. 10 while the ladies dropped one position to ninth in the region. Peach Belt Conference (PBC) squads Columbus State University and Clayton State University took the No. 2 and 3 spots on the men's side.

As for the women's regional rankings, PBC teams occupy four of the top-eight positions. Columbus State remains the No. 1 team ahead of Augusta State University.

Both teams showed well in their last meet at the Pepperdine Invitational as the women had three record breakers in the 6K, and the men nearly had a new mark established in the 8K. The Bobcat women were first among D- II competitors at the event.

Next up for the Bobcats are the PBC Championships in Milledgeville Saturday, Oct. 25 in conjunction with Alumni Day festivities.
