NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the week three regional cross country polls Tuesday, Oct. 5, with the Georgia College women moving up to claim the No. 8 spot.
The Bobcat women finished second in the ASU Invitational. This past weekend freshman Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) kept the pace for the Bobcats finishing 10th overall with a time of 20:45 with junior Karissa Ekstrom (Alpharetta, Ga.) finishing a close 13th with a time of 20:48.
There was a bit of change at the top with Queens University (S.C.) now taking top honors, King College jumping from No. 6 to 2 and Columbus State University dropping to No. 3, respectively. Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe Augusta State University dropped one spot to No. 6.
The Bobcats are back in action Oct. 16 at the Young Harris College Invite.
