Lones Named Bobcat Athlete of the Week

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Freshman Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) of the Georgia College cross country team was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 17. This marks the first such honor for Lones and the second for Bobcat cross country this season.

Lones finished fifth overall this past weekend at the ASU Tri-Meet. She snapped an eight-year-old school record (19:44) held by Bethany Loushine. She set the pace for the Bobcats for the fourth time this season, crossing the finish line of the 5K race with a time of 19:13.

The Bobcats are back in action Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships in Evans, Ga.
