Women’s Cross Country Regionally Ranked for Fifth-Straight Week

NEW ORLEANS – The most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Ranks were released Tuesday and the Georgia College women’s cross country team remained at the No. 10 spot for the third straight week.
This is the fifth-straight week that the Bobcats have been ranked on the Southeastern Regional poll for the USTFCCCA. UNC Pembroke, formerly the No. 1 team in the region, fell to No. 7 this week. The No. 2 through 6 places all moved up. Clayton State University now holds No. 2 and Columbus State University now holds No. 3 on the rankings.
Flagler College fell to No. 8 in the Southeast after holding the No. 7 spot the previous two weeks. The University of Montevallo remained at the No. 9 position on the rankings.
Georgia College will be back in action when they travel to Montevallo, Ala. to compete in the Peach Belt Championship Saturday, Oct. 20.
