MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) of the Georgia College women’s cross country team was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 30.
Lones finished first on the team during their most recent trip to Minneapolis to compete in the University of Minnesota hosted Roy Griak Invitational. Running in the first 6K race of the season, Lones finished 144th of 413 total runners with a time of 25:05.
Lones becomes the second member of the women’s cross country team to be named Bobcat Athlete of the Week this year, joining teammate Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.).
The Bobcats will be back in action Friday, Oct. 5 when they travel to Augusta, Ga. to compete in the Jaguar Invitational.
