MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Featuring four tournaments spanning three states, the Georgia College Golf program and head coach Patrick Garrett announced the fall schedule Wednesday.
The new-look Bobcats take to the course for the first time Sept. 16-17 at the Kiawah Island Invitational, hosted by USC Aiken. The Bobcats were washed out of this tournament last season, and are looking forward to taking on the tough course in South Carolina.
Sept. 23-24 brings the Jay Jennison Cup in St. Augustine, Florida, hosted by Flagler College. The site of last season's Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championship, the Bobcats took seventh at the Jennison Cup in 2018.
Sept. 31 to Oct. 1 the Bobcats have their shortest trip of the Fall, taking to the mountains at the UNG Fall Invitational in Dahlonega. The Bobcats had their best finish of last season at this tourney, taking runner-up honors.
The fall comes to a close in Florida, as the Bobcats go to the Copperhead Championship Oct. 14-15, hosted by the University of West Florida. The Bobcats were rained out at this tournament as well last season.
The Bobcats have three seniors on this year's squad, led by PBC All-Tournament honoree Austin Mancilla (Lawrenceville). The Bobcats will look to improve upon last year's ninth-place finish at the PBC Tournament.
