GC Women’s Cross Country Ranked Eighth in Region Preseason Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its official preseason rankings Tuesday, with Georgia College Women's Cross Country taking the eighth spot in the Southeast Region, unmoved from their eighth place finish in 2017.

All top-10 finishers from 2017 remain in the latest poll, which features strong representation from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC), including the University of North Georgia (fourth), Augusta University (sixth), Flagler College (seventh), and UNC Pembroke (ninth). Defending champion Queens University takes the top spot in the ranking.

The Bobcats return to action with their first meet of the 2018 season, the VSU Border Clash in Valdosta Friday, Aug. 31.
