GC Women’s Cross Country Slotted #4 in PBC Preseason Poll

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its Cross Country Preseason Polls Wednesday, with the Georgia College Women's team taking the No. 4 spot in the conference.

Georgia College tallied 54 points in the voting, just 10 behind third-place Flagler College and four ahead of fifth-place UNC Pembroke. The University of North Georgia took the top slot, with Augusta University second.

The Bobcats are led by a pair of seniors in Sarah Wilder (Tifton) and Rachel Boulineau (Canton). Sophomore Sydney Brown (Canton) owns the schools fifth-best 5K time, as the Bobcats' top returner at the distance. Four current runners are in the program's top-10 at the distance.  

The season starts at the VSU Border Clash in Valdosta Friday, Aug. 31 at 6:20 p.m.
