MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Georgia College & State University is proud to announce the sixth annual Athletics Day of Giving, set for Oct. 21, as the grand finale of Athletics Alumni Weekend.

This annual tradition unites Bobcat fans, alumni, families, and friends in supporting GCSU's student-athletes. The weekend's celebrations begin Oct. 17, with the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, followed by Athletics Alumni Day Oct, 18, and the Deep Roots Festival Alumni Tent in downtown Milledgeville —culminating in the Athletics Day of Giving Oct. 21.

Athletics Day of Giving provides critical resources to all 11 Bobcat athletics programs, funding areas that directly enhance student-athlete well-being, including travel, training, equipment, facilities, gear and scholarships. One hundred percent of every dollar donated goes directly to the designated fund, ensuring that each contribution has a meaningful and immediate impact.

"Athletics Day of Giving continues to be one of the most meaningful days of the year for Bobcat Athletics," said Director of Athletics Wendell Staton. "Every gift—large or small—makes a direct and tangible difference for our student-athletes. It fuels their growth, enhances their experience, and reminds them how deeply the Bobcat community believes in their success."

The goal for this year's campaign is 1,000 donors, and every Bobcat supporter can play a part in achieving it.

"It's exciting to see the tradition of Athletics Day of Giving continue to grow," said Assistant Director of Athletics Partnerships Hampton Pelton. "Our alumni, parents, and fans consistently step up for our teams, and I'm confident this year will make an even greater positive impact on our student-athletes."

Early giving is now open — supporters can make their Athletics Day of Giving gift today through this link and help us build momentum toward our goals of 1,000 donors and $200,000 raised.

Stay tuned for more details on exciting opportunities throughout the campaign, including a Lunch Hour Power Hour, a Volleyball Game Attendance Challenge, and additional ways to maximize your impact.

For businesses or parents interested in creating an unlocking challenge or making a leadership-level contribution, please contact Hampton Pelton at hampton.pelton@gcsu.edu.

This October, we're asking one simple question: Can we count on you to make your gift on Athletics Day of Giving?
