MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | The Georgia College & State University Department of Athletics is proud to announce a new community partnership with Raceway #7014 in Milledgeville, providing Bobcat fans and community members with a new way to support GCSU student-athletes every time they fill up.

As part of the partnership, Raceway has designated its No. 1 fuel pump as the official GCSU Athletics pump. For every gallon of fuel purchased at the pump, a portion of the sale will be contributed directly to GCSU Athletics in support of Bobcat student-athletes.

The initiative provides an opportunity for the Milledgeville-Baldwin County community to support GCSU Athletics through an everyday purchase while highlighting the impact local businesses can make on the student-athlete experience.

"This partnership is a great example of what can happen when our local business community and Bobcat Athletics come together," said GCSU Director of Athletics Wendell Staton. "We are incredibly appreciative of Raceway for investing in our student-athletes and creating a unique way for our community to support the Bobcats throughout the year."

The specially branded pump will feature GCSU Athletics and Raceway signage, allowing customers to easily identify the pump and participate in the initiative.

"Raceway has been tremendous to work with, and this initiative is about more than putting our logo on a gas pump," said GCSU Assistant Director of Athletic Partnerships Hampton Pelton. "It creates a simple, sustainable way for the community to support our student-athletes. Every gallon adds up, and we are grateful to Raceway for finding a creative way to invest in Bobcat Athletics."

GCSU Athletics and Raceway will officially unveil the new pump during a community ribbon-cutting event Thursday (Aug. 27) at 11 a.m. at Raceway #7014 in Milledgeville.

The celebration will include $1,000 in free gas giveaways, free pizza, free energy drinks, complimentary GCSU Athletics tickets and opportunities for fans to meet GCSU coaches and student-athletes. 

The Raceway initiative is part of GCSU Athletics' continued effort to develop meaningful partnerships with businesses throughout Milledgeville, Baldwin County and Middle Georgia that directly enhance the experience of Bobcat student-athletes.
