WESTLAKE, Ohio | Sixty Georgia College & State University student-athletes have been recognized by the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association with their D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

GCSU had 30 repeat honorees on this year's list.

Laura Almagro (women's tennis), Emily Hobbs (softball), Lorena Cazora (women's cross country), Sarah Charney (women's soccer), Bridget Johnson (women's soccer), Sarah King (women's soccer) Aidan Kudlas (men's basketball), Oscar Lynch (men's basketball), Sarah Mason (women's soccer), Rodrigo Pérez Crespo (men's tennis), and Bailey Vick (women's basketball) each received the award for the third consecutive year. 

Emily Agi (women's soccer), Reid Bissell (men's tennis), Addison Black (softball), Chase Blanton (men's golf), Mackenzly Cheely (women's soccer), Stephanie Condland (softball), Lauren Dozier (women's soccer), Natalie Eydam (women's soccer), Karlie Gutierrez (softball), Emily Hutcheson (softball), Riese Johnson (women's volleyball), Annalise Knop (softball), Sydney Lancaster (softball), Devin McClain (men's basketball), Tams Mullins (baseball), Nylah Nuri (women's basketball), Maddie Reese Smith (women's cross country), Lilly Swanson (women's volleyball), and Emily Wright (women's cross country) earned the award for a second consecutive season.
 
Softball led the way with 12 student-athletes, while women's soccer and women's volleyball were closely behind with nine each.  Baseball and women's cross country each added seven. Men's basketball, men's golf, men's tennis and women's tennis each had three honorees, while women's basketball and men's cross country had two apiece.

The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 19th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. In total, there were 21,149 student-athletes from 179 institutions being recognized for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards. The Peach Belt Conference had 702 student-athletes earn the Academic Achievement Award.

To receive the Academic Achievement Award, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
