Jake Rios begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Georgia College & State University men's basketball program.
Rios is no stranger to the Bobcat faithful as he played two seasons for GCSU from 2008-10. The native of Bozeman, Montana, was a member of the 2009 and 2010 NCAA Division II Tournament teams. Rios scored 570 points (10.0 ppg) and nailed 128 three-pointers in 57 games for the Bobcats. Rios is tied for No. 1 in the GCSU record book with a .4672 three-point shooting percent (128-of-274).
After his GCSU career, Rios had an 11-year overseas professional basketball career in Mexico and Australia. Rios earned his bachelor's degree in liberal studies from Montana State University.
