The Georgia College Department of Athletics and Director of Athletics Wendell Staton have announced the addition of Stacey Lampkin as Director of Athletic Training.
“We are thrilled to have Stacey at leading our Sports Medicine efforts at Georgia College,” said Staton. “From our first conversation it was clear that she cares deeply about the health and well-being of student-athletes. She has the unique ability to connect with people instantly and quickly develops inspires trust. Her care for people is so authentic. Everyone you speak with about her talks about how much she cares for our student-athletes, how hard she works, and how enjoyable it is to work with her.”

Lampkin comes to Bobcat Nation from Augusta University, where she served as the Outreach Athletic Trainer for Cross Creek High School since 2017. There, she worked with over 10 sports, caring for over 150 student-athletes. A Certified Athletic Trainer, she also worked for the Nike Peach Jam men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in North Augusta, South Carolina since 2018.
Lampkin also serves as the GCSU Athletic Department's NCAA Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity representative.

A 2010 graduate of then-Augusta State University, she picked up a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Lampkin was a four-year member of the Augusta State Jaguars Women’s Basketball team. She has since added a pair of Master’s degrees, first in Kinesiology from Augusta in 2011, and again in Athletic Training from Life University in 2017.
