KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Georgia College &
State University soccer team (3-1-1, 0-1 PBC) rests sixth in the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II
Southeast Regional Rankings for the third week in a row as
announced today, Sept. 23 by the association. This is the highest
ranking for the Bobcats in the regional poll.
After opening up Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play against UNC
Pembroke (7-0, 1-0 PBC) with a 1-0 loss Saturday, Sept. 20, Georgia
College remains sixth in the region. Three other PBC teams were
listed in the region poll today. UNC Pembroke continues its reign
at the top, while Columbus State University (7-1, 1-0 PBC) remains
second and Armstrong Atlantic State University (4-2-1, 1-0 PBC)
climbed from No. 10 to No. 7.
The Bobcats are back in action tonight at Bobcat Field against
Erskine College at 6 p.m. They hit the road on Friday, Sept. 26
when they travel to Asheville, N.C. to take on Mars Hill College at
7 p.m.
