MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Scoring 11 runs without
the benefit of a multi-hit performer, No. 8 Georgia College &
State University baseball (26-10) clobbered Albany State University
11-0 today (April 7) at John Kurtz Field.
Five pitchers combined to shut out the Golden Rams, allowing
just four hits. Junior lefty Luke Rogers
(Watkinsville, Ga.) got the start and win (1-0), going
five innings while allowing just two hits and fanning eight.

Parson (Madison, Ga.), Alex Burkard
(Alpharetta, Ga.), Ryan Tabor
(Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Martin Dewald
(Mannheim, Germany) each took an inning apiece in the
shutout.
GCSU got five in the third, three in the fourth and two in the
fifth for a 10-0 lead after five. The five-run third was
highlighted by a bases-clearing double from designated hitter
Buddy
Elmore (Dallas). Centerfielder Sean Harrell (Martinez,
Ga.) ripped a two-run double in the fourth, and third
baseman Steve Muoio (Rochester,
N.Y.) blasted a laser-beam of a two-run home run in the
fifth, his fifth this season.
