soccer team (4-3) dominated the University of West Georgia Wolves
(2-6) 4-0 Saturday at Bobcat Field, marking the second-straight
victory for the Bobcats.
The 'Cats
scored the first goal of the contest just two minutes into the game
when freshman Brittaney Borror (Evans, Ga.)
dribbled past West Georgia goalie Mary Laza to have an open
net.
After scoring her
first goal of the season, Borror followed with her third assist of
the year, finding Megan McAlpin (Newnan, Ga.), who
hit a shot into the left corner of the net to give Georgia College
a 2-0 advantage just 17 minutes into the half. Borror's three
assists are a team best and the team record continues to 15-0-1
when McAlpin records a point in the past three seasons.
Junior Karen Bonilla (Manassas, Va.) recorded her first assist of the
season, hitting sophomore Anna Wierzbicki (Newnan,
Ga.) for a header that sailed into the right corner of the
goal. Bonilla followed five minutes later with another assist to
hit freshman Taylor Yee (Alpharetta, Ga.).
Yee's shot rolled just under the diving body of Patricia
Logsdon. Wierzbicki and Yee now have two goals each on the
