The victory snaps a nine-match losing streak, and a 15-match losing streak in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play for the Bobcats. Georgia College dominated the first set 25-16, dropping the second 27-25. After a solid 25-18 effort in the third, the Bobcats clinched the win with a 30-28 marathon in the fourth.

Rachel Reynolds (Marietta, Ga.) led all attackers with 19 kills and a .302 hitting percentage, adding four blocks. Blake Willoughby (Savannah, Ga.) was nearly lights-out at a .600 hitting percentage, posting just a single error with 16 kills, a career-best.
