MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women's soccer team (2-2-1, 0-0 PBC) stepped back onto Bobcat Field Wednesday to take on Anderson University (2-3, 0-1 SAC) and left with their second-straight win of the season. The Bobcats topped the Trojans 3-1, the team's best offensive effort this season.

When asked about the volume of games being played this week, senior forward Ashley Veilleux (Monroe) was pleased with the fitness level of her teammates.

"We all feel really good," said Veilleux. "We come out and work hard. Our coaches keep us active even on days we do not have a game. We're out here running, playing, and pushing ourselves so we can do well when it is game time."

Veilleux added two goals, including the game winner, to her already impressive career total of 23. In just the 11th minute of play sophomore Allyease Schwartz (Roswell) moved down the sideline, sending a cross to the near post where Veilleux came running in to tap the ball to the back of the net.

After a surge of energy from head coach Hope Clark at halftime, the Bobcats played as if it were the start of the game. In the blink of an eye, in the 48th minute Veilleux was aided by junior Ally Barys (Ladera Ranch, California) and freshman Nicole Moor (Ramsey, New Jersey) for the senior's second goal of the match.

Multiple freshmen made their Georgia College soccer debut in style during the Bobcats' victory. Freshman Maddie Stephen (Norcross) netted her first career goal late in the second half to seal the win. Barys and freshman Rahliat Animashaun (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) were credited with the assists that helped Stephen.

The Bobcats will travel Friday, Sept. 19 for their first conference match of the season against USC Aiken at 7 p.m.
