AIKEN, S.C. – The Georgia College volleyball squad (5-7, 0-5 PBC) fell to USC Aiken (11-2, 5-0 PBC) Saturday, Sept. 27. The Bobcats could not mount enough momentum and lost the match 3-0.

The Bobcats kicked off today's match with another heavy defensive setup. Unfortunately, they could not retain any rally points as the set scores were 25-10, 25-15, 25-13. Freshman Maggie Roper (Buford, Georgia) led the team with four kills. She and Lindsay Holmes (Norcross, Georgia) combined for 14 digs, having seven each.

Georgia College's defense could not compete with the Pacers' front row as USC Aiken combined for a total of 41 kills, hitting .286. Pacer Ashley Diedrich led her squad with 13 kills, while Katie Toman supported the team with 12 digs.

The Bobcats will be back in action in the Centennial Center Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. taking on Columbus State University in the Battle of the Pickle Barrel.
