"It was a great weekend, we played really well and everyone was really excited," said head coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "We played as a team, we set goals and we hit them, and that's all you can really ask for as a coach."
Georgia College controlled the three sets virtually from start to finish, the match featuring just four total lead changes. The Bobcats took the three sets 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23.
Fifteen Bobcats saw action today, with freshman Ebony Powers (Jacksonville, Florida) leading at 10 kills, hitting a blistering .556. Classmate Taylor Svehla (Cumming) added seven kills to the cause.
Freshman Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) tallied 26 assists and nine digs, filling the boxscore with five kills and a block as well. Sophomore Katie Ray (Cumming) led the team with 11 digs. Brockway eclipsed the 800-assist mark for the season in this match with assist number two.
