MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- Another big game at home for Georgia College Men's Basketball (13-4, 6-2 PBC) Saturday as the Bobcats made short work of Armstrong State University (5-10, 3-5 PBC) 78-57 in the Centennial Center.

The Bobcats wasted little time jumping out in front of the Pirates, owning a 14-4 advantage just under five minutes into the contest. Armstrong never led, as the Bobcat lead reached a height of 25 points at 43-18 with 1:50 left in the first half.

Senior Terrell Harris (Indiantown, Florida) continued his strong play by netting 24 points, the first 20-point game of his career against ASU. Harris has now scored 20 point games against 11 of the 13 Peach Belt Conference opponents, leaving just Augusta University and Lander University left on the list.

Harris' second basket at the 17:11 mark made the guard the No. 7 scorer in school history, passing William Northcut (1985-89). Harris finished the game with 1,320 points, four shy of sixth place and Tony Edmonson (1993-97).

Freshman Chaz Berry (Fayetteville) was hot early, scoring 16 points, including 12 in the first half. Berry hit 5-for-9 from long range. Senior Dwight Anderson (Minneapolis, Minnesota) added 14 points and a team-high four assists to the win.

Bobcat efficiency was huge in today's contest, as Georgia College shot 32-for-57 from the field for 56 percent, the team's second-best shooting effort this year. Armstrong managed 36 percent from the floor (19-53) after a cold start of just 19 percent in the first half.

The Bobcats were out-rebounded 34-30, but caused three more turnovers (12-9) and dominated the paint 28-14. Jamison Jeffers led the Pirates and was their only double-digit scorer with 17 points.

With the win, the Bobcats stay undefeated against the PBC East at 3-0. The Bobcats have also now won their last three home games. The six conference wins doubles the team total from a season ago.

The Bobcats are back in action Monday, Jan. 18 at 3:30 p.m., traveling to Flagler College (6-10, 2-6 PBC). The Saints most recently dropped an 87-73 game to Clayton State University today.
