Box Score MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Using another solid defensive effort, the Georgia College men's basketball team (10-3, 3-1 PBC) led from pillar to post against Georgia Southwestern State University (5-6, 1-3 PBC) Monday night, beating the Hurricanes 70-56 at the Centennial Center.
Georgia College never trailed, taking a lead on a mid-range jumper from Terrell Harris (Indiantown, Florida) at just 14 seconds into the contest. It was a lead the Bobcats would never let slide, as GSW failed to even tie the game after that point.
Georgia College led 41-26 at the break, and that was after the Hurricanes' Brandon Price knocked down a three on the last possession. The Bobcat lead reached its peak at the 6:57 mark in the second half, as Dwight Anderson (Minneapolis, Minnesota) picked off a GSW pass and took it the distance for the layup and a 21-point lead at 62-41.
Harris was in the zone, knocking down his first 11 shots of the game, finishing 11-for-13 with 25 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a pair of steals. Harris now owns 11 20-point games this season, and 33 in his Bobcat career. Anderson finished with 14 points, four rebounds and a trio of steals.
