MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College Baseball (12-10) chalked up another non-conference victory after their 16-3 win against the Clark Atlanta University Panthers (5-18) Wednesday at John Kurtz Field. Today's game marked the sixth non-conference win for the Bobcats.

Clark Atlanta had a promising start to the game when a triple from the leadoff batter followed by a single put the Panthers in the lead within two hits. Georgia College came out swinging from the outset. The Bobcats plated six runs in the first, running through their entire lineup before the Panthers could stop them.

While Clark Atlanta was kept scoreless for the next three innings, the Bobcats continued to amass runs, including a home run from Dylan Cook (Portola Valley, California) that added three runs to the scoreboard. CAU got a run back in the fifth, and the Bobcats posted a pair of sacrifice flies in the seventh and a double by Clayten Ayres (Kennewick, Washington) netting three final runs for Georgia College. Clark Atlanta got one more in the ninth before the Bobcats left the field with their 16-3 win.

The Bobcats had an explosive afternoon on offense. Cook led the charge, going 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored. He had the home run and a double. First baseman Tanner Giesel (Naperville, Illinois) and designated hitter Wesley Wommack () each went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Rightfielder Matthew Miller (Escondido, California) and shortstop Brandon Benson (Loganville) each had two hits, Benson driving in three and Miller scoring twice and plating two.

Reliever Conner Alford (Macon) was credited with the win against Clark Atlanta. He entered in the first inning and stayed for just under two innings, during which he only gave up one hit and tallied three strikeouts. The Bobcats broke up the game between nine total pitchers, fanning nine total.

Bobcat Baseball travels to Alabama to take on the University of Montevallo Falcons Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. to begin a three-game weekend series.
