#12 Bobcat Baseball Falls 6-5 at #5 Columbus State

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The No. 12 Georgia College Baseball team (35-10, 25-4 PBC) got upended Saturday at No. 5 Columbus State University (36-9, 18-7 PBC) 6-5. 

CSU scored all six of their runs after the fifth, including a three-spot in the seventh to take the lead. 

The Bobcats had a rally in the top of the ninth, stalling with the tying run at third base. 

Senior Matthew Miller (San Diego, California) had a 2-for-4 day, scoring once. Classmate Brandon Purcell (Glennville) had a solo shot in the fourth to put the Bobcats up. 

Junior Brandt Stallings (Buford) had a double and a 2-for-5 game with two runs. Juniors Garrett Green (Bogart) and Wesley Wommack (Monroe) were each 2-for-4. 

The Bobcats finish the three-game set with the Cougars tomorrow, April 29 at 1 p.m.
