Box Score FLORENCE, S.C. – The Georgia College Volleyball squad (7-18, 1-9 PBC) played tough on the road Saturday, dropping a hard-fought four setter at Francis Marion University (18-12, 5-6 PBC).
The Bobcats controlled the first set 25-18. FMU then rebounded in front of the home crowd, taking the final three frames 25-21, 25-14 and 25-20.
Georgia College's attack was sharp today, posting three double-digit attackers. Sophomore Sarah Stewart (Savannah, Georgia) paced the hitters again today with 15 kills and a strong .314 hitting.
Junior Libby Bochniak (Marietta, Georgia) added 11 kills, while senior Emily Crowell (Horseheads, New York) fired home 10.
Setter Emily Long (Mooresville, North Carolina) had a 16-dig, 35 assist double-double. Junior Jordyn Moellering (Cumming, Georgia) led four defenders with double-digit digs, tallying 18. Long brought up 16, while senior Nicole Cohen (Atlanta, Georgia) had 14 and Bochniak 13.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., playing host to Lander University.
