MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – With two victories Tuesday at the Peeler Complex, the Georgia College Softball team (29-10) pushed a win streak to 12-straight, beating Emmanuel College (17-20) 9-1 and 2-0.

Game one was halted after five via run-rule.

Georgia College scored in every inning but the fourth, plating three in the first, including a pair on a single by Hannah Rogers (Marietta). Centerfielder Darby Pinkard (Acworth) added a two-run single of her own in the third, then finished the contest with another run-scoring single to put GC up eight in the bottom of the fifth.

Pinkard was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and a pair of runs. Rogers finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while catcher Haley Howell (Rochelle) drove in a run and scored once on a 2-for-3 game. First baseman Rachel Wolverton (Valdosta) had two hits and a run scored as well.

Senior Kayla Price (Indian Land, South Carolina) picked up the win (7-1) spinning four innings. She scattered three hits for one unearned run.

Game two was an impressive pitchers' duel as both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the fourth. Shortstop Amber Coy (Warner Robins) broke the no-hit bid for Lion starter Alannah Long (1-6) with a single to left. Howell followed by smacking a 1-1 pitch over the left field fence for a 2-0 advantage. Leftfielder Lindsey Puckett (Dunwoody) provided an insurance run with an RBI single in the sixth.

Righty Danielle Rubin (Canton) buzzed through hitters for four innings of scoreless relief. She fanned two, walked none and allowed just a single hit to improve to 2-0.

Howell finished 2-for-3 with the two-run home run, her second of the year. With the RBIs today, she now totals 51 on the season, leading the NCAA Division II and ranking fourth in school history, passing both Heather Jones and Faith Flanders in today's action.

The Bobcats are back in action Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. traveling to Lander University (17-17, 2-6 PBC). The Bearcats play at UNC Pembroke before taking on the Bobcats.
