ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball team (9-11, 6-6 PBC) had trouble finding the mark in the 79-58 loss Saturday at Flagler College (11-9, 7-5 PBC).

The Bobcats hit just five threes, their lowest output of the season. Coming into today's action, GC averaged over 10 threes per contest. GC Men's Hoops shot 34 percent from the floor, a season-low 19 percent from long range and 58 percent from the free-throw line.

Sophomore Chris Parks (Buford, Georgia) did his best to keep GC in it, scoring 18 points with five boards. He shot 8-for-16 from the floor. Freshman point guard Richard Crawford III (Evans, Georgia) had a career-best 10 points, making half of his eight shots from the field.

The Bobcats led for the first four minutes of the ballgame, but then hit a cold spell. The Saints used a 16-2 run to take a commanding 20-7 advantage with just under nine minutes left in the first half.

The loss puts the Bobcats at 6-6 in league play, good for seventh in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) standings. The top eight advance to the PBC Tournament March 4.

While junior Jordan Thomas (Conyers, Georgia) did have an underperforming game with just nine points, he jumped two slots to seventh in GC's scoring list. The electric guard passed both Isaac Thomas (2019) and William Northcut (1989) in today's action and now has 1,309 career points.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to Columbus State University (12-8, 7-5 PBC). The Cougars most recently lost at Augusta University 74-64 today.
