AUGUSTA, Ga. – Powered by 11 three pointers and four double-digit scorers, the Georgia College Men's Basketball team (14-15) upset Augusta University (21-8) 85-75 on the road Wednesday night.

The win advances the No. 7-seed Bobcats to the semifinals to take on No. 3-seed Lander University Saturday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m. The Bearcats topped No. 6-seed Flagler College today 83-60.

The Bobcats were led by freshman Brandon Thomas (McDonough) with 20 points, hitting 5-of-7 from the field and 4-for-5 from long range. He added seven rebounds to the cause as well.

Junior Jordan Thomas (Conyers) added 19 points, shooting 10-for-13 from the free-throw line. Sophomore Christian Koneman (Chatsworth) hit all four of his three-point attempts and finished with 14 points off the bench, while sophomore Chris Parks (Buford) added 14.

The Bobcats went 11-for-23 from long range, hitting 48 percent, compared to just one three-pointer from Augusta. GC hit 81 percent from the free-throw line and the Jaguars just 54 percent.

The win is the first postseason victory for Bobcat head coach Mark Gainous. The last PBC Tourney win for GC came in 2009, when GC topped North Georgia 81-76.

The Bobcats will head to Lander for semifinal action Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
