MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College Soccer team (8-7) took a 1-0 loss to out of conference Queens University at Charlotte (11-3-1) at Bobcat Field Wednesday. 

The Royals stuck first scoring in the 43rd minute of play. Alyssa Edwards reached the back netting on the assist from Maddy Leone. 

The match went into halftime with Queens up 1-0 over the Bobcats. The score was stagnant with neither team scoring in the second half. 

Alexis Bergamini (West Suffield, Connecticut) had the best offensive performance of the night with five shots two of which were on goal. Bergamini had the most touches for the Bobcats and beat the opposing forwards when she had possession of the ball. 

Bobcat goalkeeper Kate Richardson (Marietta) had eight saves on the night out of nine shots on goal by the Royals. Richardson secured her spot in the GC soccer record book as she has the fifth most saves of all time at 166. The previous holder of the slot was GC soccer alumni Annie Stephens (2014) with 160. 

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday Oct. 30 at No. 20 Flagler College for the final regular season match. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with live stats and video available at GCBobcats.com
