AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia College Women's Basketball team (1-1) evened out its record Saturday with a come-from-behind effort against Southern Wesleyan University (0-2) 68-63 in day two of the tournament at Augusta University.

The Bobcats dug an early hole, trailing the Warriors 41-29 at the half. A huge 25-12 fourth quarter helped Georgia College pick up its first win of the young season.

Junior guard Harper Vick (Marietta) led all scorers with 17 points, yanking down nine rebounds and going 6-for-9 from the free-throw line.

The nine boards was also a team-high, sharing that title with junior Anaya Cone (Douglasville) who posted 12 points to go with her nine boards. Freshman guard Ashyia Willis (Gainesville) had 13 points, adding a team-high five assists.

The Bobcats out-shot SWU 45 percent to 36 percent from the field. The Warriors got their early lead thanks in part to three-point shooting, knocking down 10 to Georgia College's five. GC controlled things up close though, owning a 32-20 advantage in points in the paint.

It took until the 3:39 mark left in regulation for the Bobcats to take control, as Vick put in a three-point play for a 60-57 lead. GC would stay in front from there.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m., traveling to Edward Waters University.
