Box Score AIKEN, S.C.- The Georgia College Volleyball team (3-4, 3-4 PBC) took a three set loss on the road at USC Aiken (5-2, 5-2 PBC) Friday.
The first set of the road matchup was the closest with the Bobcats only losing by two points at 25-23. GC had their match-high kills in the set with nine.
The second set of the match led to a Bobcat 25-17 loss with GC having eight kills.
In the third set GC came to no avail as they took the 25-15 loss with eight kills.
"I really liked our high intensity tonight, and the way we always stayed together," said head coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "I think we need to control the runs a little bit better. We are looking forward to getting back on the court tomorrow!"
Sophomore Sarah Stewart (Savannah) led the charge in all categories in Friday's matchup with the Pacers. Stewart had a box score filling night as she was credited with seven kills, 17 digs and seven points.
The second box score filler of the night was senior Libby Bochniak (Marietta). Bochniak had the second most kills with five to go along with 11 digs on the night.
The assist leader in the match was junior Lauren Talele (Woodstock). Talele had 20 of the 23 assists on the night and she was credited with five digs.
