Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga.- The Georgia College Volleyball team (3-5, 3-5 PBC) lost in a three-set battle on the road at Augusta University (6-2, 6-2 PBC) Saturday.
The first set of the conference match went to Augusta out-scoring the Bobcats 25-12. The second set also went to the Jaguars with a 25-17 outcome. The third set was a Jaguar victory as well with the Bobcats cutting the score to a 25-19 loss. GC had a match-high of 10 kills in set three.
"Today's match was better than the score reflected," said coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "The team stayed together and kept fighting throughout the match. We are ready for a great week of practice and getting back on the court next weekend."
The match's offensive leader was sophomore Sarah Stewart (Savannah) with nine kills to her credit.
The Bobcats had a total of 25 assists in the match up with junior Lauren Talele (Woodstock) snagging 22 of those to go with six digs.
The senior defensive specialist Jordyn Moellering (Cumming) was stellar on defense today having 19 digs to her credit.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 2 in the Centennial Center at 6 p.m. to take on Lander University. Live stats and a live broadcast of the game will be available at GCBobcats.com. The first 50 students will be permitted access to the game, as well as Bobcat student-athlete guests.
