GREENWOOD, S.C.- The Georgia College Softball Team (9-19, 3-9 PBC) took a Peach Belt Conference (PBC) doubleheader at Lander University (13-11, 0-6 PBC) Sunday. 

GC had no shortage of offense in the first game of the doubleheader. There were two multibase knocks for the Bobcats with doubles from junior Katelyn Hobbs (Thomasville, Georgia) and sophomore Samantha Vinson (Jefferson, Georgia). 

The game one pitching duties were split by the starter MacKenzie Michels (Lilburn, Georgia) and the winning pitcher Ally Black (Norris City, Illinois). Michels fanned five batters and allowed three runs on eight hits in her 5 1/3 innings of work. Black (2-1) got the win allowing no runs on two hits in 1 ⅔ innings. 

Hobbs finished game one 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Vinson also went 3-for-4 in game one with a double. 

Game two was a pitchers' duel with limited offense for both squads. Sydney Newberry (Springfield, Georgia) drove in the first run with a single in the second. The second run came from the bat of Golden Thrower (Hanahan) on a sacrifice fly to score Hobbs. 

Thrower got the start and the win for the Bobcat pitching staff in game two. Thrower (2-7) fanned two batters and allowed one run one five hits in the complete game.
