AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia College Baseball team (15-15) fell victim to the error bug in Tuesday's 13-4 loss to USC Aiken (16-14). The two teams did battle in non-conference action at SRP Park, home of the Augusta Greenjackets minor league baseball team.

The Pacers came out of the gates hot with five runs over the first three innings, only two of which were earned, due to two of the six Bobcat errors on the day.

Finding themselves down 8-1 heading into the eighth, the Bobcats quickly shifted momentum with one swing of the bat. Centerfielder Cam Hill (Marietta) blasted a three-run home run to right field that inning, cutting the lead to 8-4. Any momentum was quickly erased however, by the Pacers responding with five runs in the bottom of the eighth on two hits, two more GC errors and a pair of walks. The big inning made the lead nearly insurmountable.

Hill finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run. Third baseman Noah Mendlinger (Alpharetta) had two hits in four trips, including a double, and one RBI.

Lefty starter Luc Scudellari (Roswell) took the loss allowing five runs, but just two earned to fall to 1-1. Of the 13 total runs scored by USCA on the night, just four were earned.

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 16 at 6 p.m., traveling to Flagler College.
