MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Georgia College Volleyball Team (3-5, 3-5 PBC) swept Lander University (1-7, 1-7 PBC) at the Centennial Center in three sets Friday night. 

The first set went to the Bobcats in a 10 point margin at 25-15. The second set belonged to GC as well in a 15 point margin at 25-10. The Bobcats almost tripled their kills in the second set recording 17. The third and final set also went to the Bobcats to seal the deal against the Bearcats at 27-25. 

"I'm really proud of our team tonight," said Coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "Our goal was to focus on the first point and stay on top from there. I really liked how we fought through a little adversity in the third. This was a great win for us tonight."

Senior Libby Bochniak (Marietta) had the most kills of the matchup with 11. She also recorded 17 digs on the night which led the squad and gave her another double-double. 

Junior Lauren Talele (Woodstock) ran a strong offense with 27 assists in the match. She also made sure the volleyball stayed in the air by digging 15 balls to add another double-double. 

The junior Morgan Overly (Saint Simons Island) recorded the third-most digs in the match at 13. She was also credited with two of the five serving aces for the Bobcats. 

Blocking was also strong for the Bobcats tonight, finishing with 10 as a team. Emma Boughner (Bogart) led the way with six. 

The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, April 3 at 3 p.m., playing host to Young Harris College.
