Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- The Georgia College Volleyball team (5-6, 5-6 PBC) took a three-set loss to Peach Belt Conference (PBC) leader Flagler College (13-3, 11-1 PBC) Tuesday night.
The Saints took the first set victory by a six point margin at 25-19. The second set also belonged to the Saints as well with the largest margin of the match at 25-17. Flagler closed things out with a tight third set at 25-22. GC had match highs of nine kills and four blocks in the third.
"I really liked our focus tonight," said coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "It's always tough to play on the road and I thought we handled that pretty well tonight. We saw a few things that will need some tweaking and will get attention this week in practice. We are looking forward to our match on Friday."
The kill leaders for the match were sophomore Sarah Mangan (Farmingville, New York) and senior Libby Bochniak (Marietta, Georgia). Both players had six kills and four block assists on the night. Bochniak filled her scorecard tonight adding six digs in three sets.
Lauren Talele (Woodstock, Georgia) had 24 assists for GC in tonight's match up, adding eight digs. The defensive leader for the match was senior Jordyn Moellering (Cumming, Georgia) with 10 digs.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 9 at 6 p.m., traveling to Francis Marion University.
