ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Georgia College & State University Soccer (5-8-3, 4-4-2 PBC) took a 4-2 loss to the University of North Georgia (10-3-3, 6-2-2 PBC) in the conference quarterfinal game, Thursday night.

The Bobcat offense was able to break the 1-0 first half deficit by scoring in the 16th minute of play. Summer Ligon (Carrollton, Georgia) picked up the assist on the play after corralling the ball after a GCSU corner. Ligon tracked the ball on the left side of the goalkeeper box and crossed the ball to Aralyn Everett (Covington, Georgia). Everett was playing just outside the goal and was able to head the ball into the back right corner of the net. With that goal the Bobcats went into halftime tied with the Nighthawks at one apiece.

Everett ended her sophomore year with a bang as she recorded a goal and picked up a second half assist. She got the ball on the left hatch after a Nighthawks goal kick. Alexis Bergamini (West Suffield, Connecticut) got the ball from Everett just inside the 18-yard box. Bergamini took a touch while working her way toward the goal and knocked in the upper 90 to close out an amazing career in the blue and green.

Senior goalkeeper Kate Richardson (Marietta, Georgia) picked up her final career start in goal for GCSU. She nabbed four saves to round out an impressive four year career as a Bobcat. She sits in the third overall spot in school history for saves, wins and shutouts.

This brings an end to the 2022 Bobcat Soccer campaign. Head coach Jack Marchant has concluded his inaugural season with GCSU.
