Bobcat Men's Hoops Falls to #8 LMU in Final Minutes, 61-54

HARROGATE, Tenn.- Georgia College & State University Men's Basketball (3-3) fell 61-54 in the final minutes to No. 8 Lincoln Memorial (5-1), Wednesday. 

The Bobcats were able to net 54 points with three players netting double digit. Brendan Rigsbee (Suwanee, Georgia) had a stellar performance leading the offense with 16 points good for his career high. He went 2-for-3 from behind the three point arc. Christian Koneman (Chatsworth, Georgia) was the second leading scorer for the Bobcats netting 11 points. Koneman went 3-for-5 from behind the arc and shot 50% from field goal range. Brandon Thomas (McDonough, Georgia) rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points on the afternoon. Thomas knocked down two three point buckets to account for the majority of his points. 

GCSU had two players leading the rebounding effort with eight apiece. Chapin Rierson (Calhoun) and Koneman both nabbed seven of their eight rebounds under the Railsplitters basket. Rigsbee had seven rebounds to his credit to round out his impressive afternoon. On the defensive side of things the Bobcats added five blocked shots with Austin Sloan (Warner Robins, Georgia) leading the effort with two. 

The Bobcats are on the road again for the next action on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Anderson University. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. with live stats and broadcast links available at GCBobcats.com.
