Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Georgia College & State University Volleyball team (11-18, 7-8 PBC) closed the regular season with a road loss at Flagler College (15-8, 9-5 PBC) in three Saturday.
The Saints swept the three sets 25-20, 25-23 and 25-19. The best hitting set for the Bobcat offense was the second, tallying 10 kills and a .156 attack percentage.
Graduate student Rachel Machovec (Buckhead, Georgia) led with nine kills, as juniors Callie Miller (Acworth, Georgia) and Mary Kate Kotzin (Dunwoody, Georgia) posted five each.
Freshman setter Riese Johnson (Cumming, Georgia) led with 13 assists, and Machovec led in digs with 11. Kotzin finished with nine total points as she also posted six blocks and an ace.
The Bobcats' next action comes at the 2022 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament. There's one match left in PBC play this season, and a bracket announcement is due Monday from the conference office. The Bobcats finished 7-8 in league play and should be the No. 4-seed.
