COLUMBUS, Ga.- The Georgia College Softball Team (4-8) took a 10-1 five inning loss against Wingate University (11-3) and a 6-0 loss to No. 11 Auburn University Montgomery (7-3). 

Despite only scoring one run the Bobcats mustered together five hits in five innings. Jessica Owens (Social Circle) had the best performance of game one, going 2-for-2 and she was the lone runner to cross the plate. Macy Banks (Homer) had the only multibase knock of the contest which was a double to the wall to plate Owens. 

Brayden Latimer (Milledgeville) got her first start of the season and the loss. She threw 1 and 1/3 innings allowing six earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts. 

The Bobcats took the loss in game two as well from No. 11 AUM. GC had only two hits during the contest, plating no runs. Owens and Eliza Kuhne (Sharpsburg) had the only two hits. Kuhne also nabbed a stolen base to add to her boxscore. 

Montana Ledbetter (Hanna City, Illinois) got the start and the loss in the circle for GC. In her 3 and 2/3 innings of work she allowed two earned runs on five hits. 

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Feb. 23 on the road at USC Beaufort in doubleheader fashion. The first pitch is set for 4 p.m. with live stats and video links available at GCBobcats.com.
