AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia College Softball team (9-20, 1-8 PBC) was held in check again Sunday at Georgia Southwestern State University (18-11, 5-1 PBC) falling in the final game of the three-match Peach Belt Conference (PBC) series 8-0.

The Bobcats managed just three hits off GSW starter Regan Lee (3-2) over the five innings, as the game was shortened by run-rule. Katelyn Wood had a pair of home runs for the Hurricanes.

GC had runners on in four of the five innings, stranding runners in scoring position in both the third and fifth. In the third, the Bobcats got back-to-back singles from Eliza Kuhne (Sharpsburg) and Sydney Newberry (Springfield).

Righty starter Macy Banks (Homer) couldn't escape the first inning in the loss, falling to 4-8 on the year.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, March 23 at 3 p.m. eastern, traveling to the University of Montevallo for a doubleheader.
