MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Baseball team (9-9, 0-3 PBC) fell to No. 26 Young Harris College (13-5, 3-0 PBC) 7-4 Sunday at John Kurtz Field.
The Bobcats fell behind early, trailing 3-0 heading into the bottom of the third. An RBI single by Palmer Sapp (Dawsonville) gave GC its first run, then the Bobcats cut it to one on a Mountain Lion error. YHC responded with a big four-run fifth to take over the game.
Sapp finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Paul Grazzini (Marietta) and Sam Sly (Atlanta) each drove in runs as well.
Righty starter Brennan Crooms (Metter) took the loss (1-2) in three innings of work.
GC Baseball has started with a challenging stretch, already playing seven games against Nationally Ranked competition.
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, March 8 at 4 p.m., traveling to the University of West Georgia.
