Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. – The Georgia College Baseball Team (27-17, 15-9 PBC) secured yet another road win Tuesday with a 15-0 rout over Southern Wesleyan University (10-37, 2-25 CC).
The Bobcats got rolling early with a four-run first inning and never looked back as they scored in five of the nine innings. Cam Hill (Marietta) led the charge going 5-for-4 with a bases-clearing triple with five RBI. KC Brown (Savannah) knocked in three RBI for the second-most on the squad. Brown nabbed two RBI early on the home run over the left-field wall in the top of the second inning.
The bats were red hot from start to finish, capitalizing on five Warrior errors with 13 hits, two of which were doubles. SWU had several opportunities to respond to the surging Bobcats but ultimately were unable to score any runs, leaving five runners on base.
One of the catalysts behind the big win was a six-inning shutout by Mason Brown (Lilburn), who allowed just one hit with four strikeouts to his credit. Brown received credit for the win and improved his season record to 1-2 in his freshman campaign.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 29 beginning a three-game series on the road at Augusta University to close out the regular season. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. with live stats and video links available at GCBobcats.com
